Eat, Drink, and Know the Customs

       In my family, when a person invites you to their home for first time for dinner at 8.00, there are somethings you do. It is the customs. For me, I always arrive on time. I usually take a gift to the host. The kind of gift that I choose for them is a hand-basket of fruit. After we finish the meal, I usually give them a compliment about the taste of food. When I eat, I always leave a little food on my plate and I don't ask for more because, it's the customs that the host will ask you, do you want more food. The end of the meal, I always say thank you for their invitation and their delicious dishes. Before I leave, I will talk to them a little bit. And I leave around 10.00 because the host have to rest and their will go to sleep not too late.

In Thailand, we use forks and spoon. we always have main course without appetizer and sometimes Thai people sit on the ground when they have a meal, it's the simple way to eat with family. But in England, they always have some appetizers. They use forks, spoon and also knife when they eat. And they always have a meal on the table. That is the different table custom between Thailand and England.

A special day for me

         A special day for me is Sart-Duan-Sib. We celebrate this day on 24th September every year. Sart-Duan-Sib Day is a religious day. This day is so important for every family because it is a change to get together and make merit to our relatives who were dead. This special day, we always buy and wear new clothes. We think that nine month before, we work to hard. So we have to give a gift for ourselves. In Sart-Duan-Sib Day, we will go to temple. In the morning, we will prepare a lot of food for making merit. After finish this ceremony, people in each family will have a big meal together. For Sart-Duan-Sib Day, It has some signature food. They are 5 kinds of dessert. We will buy and make merit to dead people who are our relatives. As you can see, Sart-Duan-Sib Day is a very important day and a chance to together and making merit for me.

            For this week, Instructor told us to summarize all the things that we studied and drew mind map. Instructor told us how to draw mind map and how to summarize. We have to draw 2 mind maps. One's for vocabulary/reading and one's for writing. For the first side, vocabulary and reading, I choose all topic to make the main point, and choose the vocabulary of that topic to describe that topic. For the second side, it's about writing practice but it's also depend on grammar, so I choose all topic that shown about grammar to be main point and the detail of that topic to describe it. After we finished drawing it, our instructor told us to sent it to him. Instructor check our mind maps and he signed on our mind map paper. Not only this assignment but he also told us about midterm test, such as the date that we will have midterm test, the topic we have to know and we have to take pencil and eraser for having exam next week. Before the end of the class he told us how to print out our blog. And he told us that we have to sent our blog paper before 4 p.m. that day. After finished drawing mind maps, my friends and I went to print out the blog and sent it to our instructor.

I like to laugh a lot

       When I laugh, I feel like my world is brighter. I love all of things make me happy. Such as jokes, funny situations, and also comedies. When I laugh, I laugh loudly. It makes me feel free and likes I have no sadness things. I also love to make my friends laugh. I laugh first and my friends will follow me. It makes us relax. I heard that who usually laugh will live longer than who is always serious. And I think that when I laugh, I look cheerful and very problem will like a piece of cake. Laughing makes me happy and also good for me, so I like laughing a lot.

week 5 - Sleep

Sleep

       In my opinion, sleep is very important. No one can live without sleeping. I need 8 hours a night for sleeping. I usually go to bed at 11 pm. and get up at 6 am. The lights in my room are off, The window closed and my room quite when I sleep. I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night. When I wake up at night, I listen to music and read a book. I usually sleep on my back. I don't move about a lot. I sometimes dream and nightmare, but I don't snore when I sleep.

A country I would like to visit

I would like to visit America very much. In America, most people speak English. I think that If I go there, I can communicate to each other. The well-known cities in America is New York City.

It's a very fantastic city. I think that New York City never sleep. All night in New York City, you can see people around it. Those people at night called butterfly. I would like to visit America because it has a lot of wonderful place such as New York City, Disneyland Theme Park, Universal Studio, Golden Gate Bridge, etc. Moreover, The well-known place in America is Grand Canyon. I would like to visit it so much.

A city that is special to me

     Pattaya City is a special city to me. It's in Chonburi Province. It's not far from Bangkok. Pattaya City is really amazing place. It has a lot of catchy restaurants. And it also has a nice beach. Around the beach has a lot of luxury hotels for tourist. Rimhad Restaurant is a very catchy and adorable place. I do love the tastes of the foods there. It's a very good restaurant. If you go and want to have some meal there, don't miss Rimhad Restaurant. Central Festival Pattaya is a very nice mall. It has a lot of things to buy. And also have many kinds of food to choose for your meal. Moreover If you have chance to visit Pattaya City, You can spend your time to do a lot of activities there. If you don't understand what do I mean, Come on and I wish you to have a good time in Pattaya City.
